We took the dogs for a walk down back to see if we could find where the big tree fell on Friday during the snow storm. We never did find the tree. It must have fallen on the other side of the creek. Here's some pictures from our walk:( Read more... )

Dave helped me get the chicken coop cozy and windproof yesterday. I took the old plastic down and held the new plastic in place while he operated the staple gun. Then we went to town and got a bale of straw and I spread that around on the ground so now they'll have insulation under their feet when they are in the outside area. I've been burning an apple pie, cinnamon and vanilla candle the last few days. It makes my nose run and eyes itch a bit but I don't care. I love smelling it anyway. Just for a few hours in the afternoon ( Read more... )

I laid the pin loom squares out for Char's lap robe on the bed today - just to make a final check to make sure they were all there and to see if I was to just randomly pick them out of a pile and start to sew them together they wouldn't end up coming out with ones that looked the same side by side.
